Within your first year, you'll have stage opportunity. Guaranteed. Whether it's our Student Showcase (the full DJ experience) or another live event – you'll perform. Because learning to DJ without ever playing for people is like learning to drive without leaving the car park.
Here's how it works:
You start with the fundamentals. Beatmatching, mixing, transitions – the skills your favourite DJs use when they perform. No shortcuts. Just proven techniques that work on any equipment, in any venue.
Every lesson is one-to-one and bespoke. Your pace. Your goals. Your style. Complete beginner? We'll get you mixing confidently within a few sessions. Already know the basics? We'll tighten your technique and build you into a performer.
Our tutors have supported Pendulum, Chase and Status, Macky Gee, Bou, and more. They've played nationally. They know what it takes to go from bedroom mixing to actual stages. And they'll teach you the same way they learned: properly.
You'll train in our custom-built studios in Buckingham and Creslow using industry-grade equipment – CDJ-3000s, XDJs, club-standard mixers. The same gear you'll play on when you're gigging. No "this'll do for now" setups.
Within a few lessons, you'll go from "I don't know if I can do this" to confidently mixing tracks you're proud of.
Within a year, you'll have performed live.

You hear it in your head. That drop. That bassline. The way it would sound if you could just... make it real.
But every time you open a DAW (if you even know what a DAW is), you're met with a wall of buttons, plugins, and YouTube tutorials that explain everything except the one thing you actually need to know.
Here's the truth: you don't need more tutorials. You need someone who knows what they're doing to sit with you and teach you how to do it.
That's what OTD Academy's Music Production lessons are.
One-to-one sessions. Bespoke to your goals. Taught by producers who've released tracks on major labels, Spotify, and Soundcloud.
You'll learn every stage of the process: beat-making, arrangement, sound design, mixing, mastering, while staying true to your own creative style. No generic "follow this template" nonsense.

We've got you covered. Sessions take place in our fully equipped production studio at the OTD Bunker in Creslow. Industry-standard software and hardware. You don't need to own anything to get started.

Everything you learn is transferable. Ableton, Logic, FL Studio – the principles stay the same. So, when you do invest in your own setup, you'll already know how to use it.

MC and Vocal Expression
Have you ever wondered how powerful your voice can be?
Not just what you say, how you say it. The energy you bring. The confidence behind every word. The way you command a room without even trying.
Most people never learn to use their voice like that. They think it's something you're born with.

It's not. It's a skill. And like any skill, you can learn it.
OTD Academy's MC & Vocal Expression lessons teach you how to use your voice with purpose, power, and presence.
Whether you want to hype up a crowd, deliver lyrics with authority, or just feel more confident speaking and performing, these sessions give you the tools to express yourself without holding back.
Guided by experienced MCs and vocal coaches, you'll develop the essentials: vocal projection, timing, breath control, flow, lyric delivery, and stage presence. Not theory. Not abstract concepts. Actual techniques you can use the next time you step behind a mic.
